AI Use Policy

Aptus may use AI to support facilitation, reflection prompts, post-game debrief materials, coursepack workflows, dynamic simulation elements, support, or instructor tools. AI outputs are educational aids and should be reviewed by instructors where they affect teaching or assessment.

Aptus does not sell student personal data or use it for advertising. Aptus does not send student PII to model providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic. We also do not use student or classroom data to train machine learning models; Aptus currently does not train machine learning models at all.

When AI-assisted instructor debriefs use simulation decisions, Aptus is designed to provide the model with de-identified gameplay data and internal participant IDs rather than student names or email addresses. If a debrief needs to connect an insight back to a class participant, that lookup happens inside Aptus systems after the AI-supported draft is generated.

Aptus does not use AI to grade assignments or determine course grades. Aptus may show instructors whether a learner completed a simulation and what happened during the simulation, but grades, credit, and assessment decisions belong to the instructor or institution.
