Aptus Learning

Student Data Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Aptus Learning is designed for college, university, and professional education settings. This page explains the v1 approach to classroom and student data.

Classroom Data We Handle

Aptus may process account details, class or section membership, team assignments, simulation decisions, simulation outcomes, and instructor-created class configuration data so the simulations can run and instructors can facilitate learning.

Institutional Control

When Aptus is used by an institution or instructor, classroom records are handled for that educational context. We do not sell student personal data or use it for advertising.

AI And Student Identifiers

Aptus does not send student PII to model providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic. If AI-assisted debriefs or instructional summaries use player decisions, Aptus is designed to send de-identified simulation data using internal participant IDs rather than student names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers. Any re-association needed for instructor-facing class context happens inside Aptus systems.

No Student Data Model Training

Aptus does not train machine learning models on student or classroom data. Aptus currently does not train machine learning models at all.

Deletion And Export Requests

Students, instructors, and institutional administrators can email team@aptuslearning.aito request deletion, export, or correction help. We may need to verify the requester's identity and authority before changing class or student records.

Age And School Context

Aptus is not intended for children under 13 unless a school or institution has arranged appropriate use and permissions. For questions about FERPA, COPPA, or a school vendor review, contact team@aptuslearning.ai.
